I'm doing it AGAIN

Last year was my first Go for Broke ride. A great event and a very worthwhile cause.

Every dollar of funds raised goes straight to Lifeline.

This year with the impact of drought, bush fires and COVID-19, the volume of calls to Lifeline has increased by over 20%. The services they provide are needed now more than ever.

In 2019, which seems like it was a decade ago, I was overwhelmed by the generosity of family, friends and work colleagues - thank you all so much. If you can help out again that would be wonderful.

And if I'm looking tired for a few days after the 17th of October (our new date) - you will know why! The training is going well, and the extra month of long rides will help - but 180 kms is a looooong day in the saddle.

My Updates

The Ride has been pushed back till Saturday 17 October 2020

Wednesday 16th Sep
On the 26th of August the NSW Health Guide Lines for Community Based Sporting Events was updated. The impacts of the updates unfortunately means Go for Broke will need to be delayed for four weeksFortunately for GFB the new guidelines are only in place till 30th of September. As such the GFB Committee have moved the event to Saturday 17 October 2020. Four extra weeks of training - hope I didn't peak too early!

Fingers and toes crossed.

Three Weeks to Go!

Saturday 29th Aug
It won't be long now. Training has been going well, particularly with the help of the GNR crew. Saturdays 107 - 130 kms and a couple of 30 - 50 km rides during the week. A big training ride is coming up on the 5th of September and then tapering with a quieter week before the big event on the 19th. Even with the training 180 kms is a long ride ... so fingers crossed!

I was amazed at the level of support last year through the  donations to Lifeline and just want to say thank you in advance. With the year that we have had Lifeline services are needed more than ever.

Getting excited! Or is that nervous? Well, let's just say excited.

Thank you to my Sponsors
